We always knew that NH was a great place for not only retirees, but also, lifetime 603-ers, like me!  What I didn't know is that the whole country would agree!

Portsmouth was ranked the fourth best place to live in the country, according to Find Reviews, based on the following:

  • Estimated Population: 21,645
  • Median Home Price: $445,800
  • Standard Cost of Living: 41.6% above the U.S. average
  • Typical Cost of Healthcare: 4% below the U.S. average

The study goes on to say:

New Hampshire is world-famous for the part it played in the founding of America, but the Granite State has more than just remarkable historic landmarks to offer retirees. It’s also one of the 10 most tax-friendly states in the nation.

The report cites that Portsmouth does have an average cost of living and housing that's way above the rest of the USA, they liked Portsmouth because of it's quiet and peaceful neighborhoods, yet access to big city, Boston.
