Tupelo Music Hall Moving To Derry

The Tupelo Music Hall has been in Londonderry for 12 years and will now be moving to Derry.

According to the Union Leader, 

Planning Board members voted unanimously Wednesday night to grant conditional approval of a site plan to relocate the music hall to a former health club at 10 A St. in Derry.

The new space will seat around 475, whereas the Londonderry location seats 240. Owner, Scott Hayward, told the Union Leader,

I really think the project could turn Derry into a place where people go for entertainment. With us and the Stockbridge Theatre and the Opera House, Derry really becomes a place you go for entertainment and community events.

The goal is to open on New Year's Eve. The Tupelo Music Hall features big name comedians and artists, such as Jon Butcher Axis and Vanilla Fudge, so I would imagine the new location will have the same types of acts.
