I'm sure glad that some things stay the same.

Vermont, once again, is leading the way in maple syrup production.  According to mynbc5.com, Vermont produced about 2.2 million gallons of maple syrup during the 2020 season.  That's the most of any state.

You might complain about the price of real maple syrup, but let me tell you, the process to make the tasty treat is not easy.   It takes about 40 gallons of sap to make 1 gallon of syrup.  That's a LOT of trees!
