This Saturday at 3, vets representing American Legion Post 8 will skate against former NHL stars at the Dover's Ice Arena.

The Boston Bruins are off to a red hot start, currently leading the Eastern Conference over the Florida Panthers, and yes, the Montreal Canadians. Speaking of the latter, players who once faced off against the team's fiercest rivals will hit Dover's Ice Arena this Saturday at 3pm.

The game will benefit Vouchers For Veterans, which according to Fosters Daily Democrat, started in Rochester four years ago. Since then, the program has expended from a way to provide Strafford County veterans with free produce and fresh food at the Rochesters Farmers Market, to other local areas such as Southern Maine. Vouchers for Veterans co-founder Jeanne Grover told Fosters “This year in Rochester, we gave away $1,100 an hour for every hour the market was open.”

Tickets for the game are are $15 for adults and $10 for children.
