What Movie Shoot Shut Down Mass Ave Bridge in Boston Last Night?

What Movie Was It?

Last night, part of the Mass Ave Bridge in Boston was shut down for a movie shoot, according to CBS Boston.  There was a red car and a motorcycle on the back of a truck, but no word on which movie it was.  There have been rumors, however, that the Black Panther sequel has been shooting at MIT.  Exciting!  If you haven't seen the first one, it's GREAT.  Check out the Trailer:

Want To Be An Actor?

I sure did.  When I was a kid, my Aunt Aggie had one of those 8MM cameras that took home movies.  You may have seen them in movies if you weren't part of them yourself.  The 8MM film didn't have sound, just moving pictures.  (Weird in today's technology-based living, don't you think?)  There are boxes filled with little Sarah dancing around her living room.  It was really embarrassing at the time and that feeling has never really gone away.  We had those movies transferred to CD, so sometimes, my family will bring those out, much to my dismay.  It did, however, ignite the performer in me at a very young age.  I just prefer being heard and not seen.

You Can Be a Successful Actor Here in New England

You probably know by now, if you are really committed to something, you can be a success, no matter what.  Boston Casting has been around for a long time and has been involved in casting for a ton of major motion pictures like The Karate Kid, The Proposal, Ted, American Hustle, Labor Day, Patriot's Day, I could go on and on, but you get the idea.  They are professionals, so, they need professional actors.  If you don't consider yourself a professional quite yet, there's always a need for Extras or, if you'd like to take acting classes, they have those for every age range.  Some are in high demand, so if you want in, you better sign up fast.

So many films have been shot in Boston.  The one that most people think of right away is probably Good Will Hunting.  That's when most of us were introduced to Matt Damon and Ben Affleck.  (RIP Robin Williams)

Just this year there are several projects in production in Boston.  Episodes of American Horror Story is being filmed in Provincetown.  A biopic about Whitney Houston, 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody' is being filmed in Quincy and Boston.  Also this year, the show that I am currently watching, "Kevin Can F**k Himself" starring Annie Murphy, a/k/a Alexis from Sh*tts Creek.   Here's the Trailer:

There are so many more projects in and around New England, so if you really want a career in acting you can absolutely go for it!
