When Will My Cielo Be Open In Rochester?

Does anyone know when this Taqueria will be opening at 667 Columbus Avenue in Rochester?

If the current pace of work being done to this space is any indication, I have to think that the Open sign will be up much sooner than later.

It seems like just last week the former '2 Banditos Burritos' signage was taken down and replaced and the window frames were being repainted as well.

I always try to observe what's happening over there as a crew has been working diligently for days, but, there's no indication of when they'll open.

I have to think that as far as the inside is concerned, all systems should be fully operational. The previous occupant closed down less than 6 months ago. But again, I haven't a clue what the new owners vision is, and I haven't the first clue as to how to run a restaurant either.

What I do know is that location has had many different incarnations over the years.

Before '2 Banditos Burritos', it was 'Fork N' Subs'. Prior to that, the very successful and delicious "Liu's Garden" was located there since the mid 1990's. They moved right across the street and are still wonderful. (Try the #23 Lunch Special with Crab Rangoons)

My memory starts to fade a bit before that as I faintly remember a barbecue style restaurant?

Believe it or not, I had my first professional haircut in this building, long before the days it housed multiple restaurants, it was a barber shop!
