Today is the day for the annual Not-So-Spooky spectacular at the Children's Museum of  New Hampshire.

All patrons are invited to come in costume to this annual event that caters to all ages, but is designed to not frighten the little ones. The hours are from10am-5pm at the museum in Dover.

While looking at the activities below, I'd be interested in finding out what a pompom popper is, and I'd certainly enjoy the Wacky Scientist!

According to the musums website, here is a fun list of the scheduled activities:

  • Touring our exhibits in your costumes

  • Experiencing amazing science experiments with the museum's own Wacky Scientist at 10:30 am, 12:30pm, and 2pm

  • Visiting a ‘Fair Circle’ where the fairies will guide you in making your own fairy doors and cat craft

  • In the STEAM Lab create a pompom popper and play a game with a giant spider web

  • Snuggle up for a not-so-spooky storytime at 11:30am

  • Enjoying a trick-or-treat scavenger hunt around the museum and collecting stamps to receive an extra special prize

  • Competing in a costume contest at 3:15pm with your fellow ghouls

  • Getting your face painted in the Muse Studio

  • Craft pumpkin scratch art and spider hats

  • Take a photo with ghost portraits or in front of a Halloween Bat backdrop with fun props

There will also be downtown trick-or-treating from 11-2. Children will be able to gather non-candy treats at the front of the museum. There is no charge for that event.

All Not-So-Spooky Spectacular festivities happening inside the museum are included in regular paid admission ($10 for adults and children, no charge for children under 12 months old) and free for Children's Museum of NH Members.
