If you're planning to make a donation to Goodwill Industries in either New Hampshire or Maine, be aware that not everything is accepted.  There are good reasons for that and we have them all for you here.

There are things that Goodwill will not accept for reasons that may not be initially thought of, for example, they don't accept bunk beds.  Who wouldn't want a bunk bed, you might say.  The thing might be brand new, but it doesn't matter.  Bunk beds are banned from donation because they are too big and cumbersome for the staff to handle.  There could be a weight issue or a space issue.  They are just too much for Goodwill.

Speaking of things that are too big, large appliances also can not go to Goodwill.  Remember, this would be a good thing for Habitat for Humanity.

Other things you can not donate to Goodwill in NH or Maine is Construction Debris.  Things like leftover brick, wood pieces, etc.  If you have ever done any construction project, you know there are a lot of things that just pile up.  Some things are usable and some things are not.  If you have useable construction debris, maybe consider donating to Habitat for Humanity.  They may be able to put that brick pile to good use.

You can't donate futons or hospital beds either.  This would fall under a couple of banned criteria.  You can't donate anything that isn't sanitary and a bed certainly isn't sanitary all the time.  Also, remember the bunk bed situation?  Same thing applies here.
