A homeowner arriving home early Tuesday found the back door wide open and some of his belongings from inside on the front lawn.

Voices were also heard around 3:40 a.m. coming from the the woods, and the homeowner called police.

After police arrived at the home on Rochester Hill, a woman identified as Abigail Cook came out of the woods. Police determined she had been involved with a burglary at the home, according to Rochester Police.

The voice of a man also believed to be involved in the burglary was also heard but could not be located, even with the help of a K-9 unit.

Cook was taken to the Strafford County Jail and arraigned several hours later.
