Latest internet debate: Would you eat leftovers from someone else's table at a restaurant if they were done with it?

Here's some of the responses we've received on our Facebook page:

  • Ron Fuller Just talked about this on Friday morning.
Guy an his 8-10 year old kid . Guy ordered 2 burgers an 2 fries .
The kid had all could do to finish burger. Neither of them Never once touched the fries.
I was thinking of doing it.
But I passed. Waitress told me that happens about 6-8 times a day.
    Serious waste
  • Jimmy Birmingham Depends. If it’s a $100 rib eye steak hardly eaten, cut with a knife and fork. Why not
  • Rene C Grant Guess everyone has never really gone broke and hungry ....lucky for you
  • Kathie Lopez NOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Debra OBrien That is so not right I was listening to you talking about this on the radio just the thought of it turns my stomach.

As you can see, there are people who wouldn't rule it out.

I remember once I was having dinner with a "celebrity" and he ordered baked stuffed lobster.  I have never ordered it myself because it was always too pricey.  He ate MAYBE three bites and left the rest.  What a waste!  I was thinking I should have asked him to keep the leftovers, but I didn't.  Maybe next time!
