Is it just me, or are Maine lobstermen catching a whole bunch of rare colored lobsters lately? Yet Lobster

This one is a cotton candy lobster. We're guessing it tasted nothing like cotton candy, but wouldn't that be awesome? We'll never know though because the rare colored lobsters traditionally avoid the cooking pot.

The odds of catching a cotton candy lobster are 1 in 100 million, according to Town Landing Market in Falmouth who posted a photo of the rare cotton candy lobster on Facebook hanging out with the regular colored ones who are bound to end up on the dinner table. Sorry boys.

In the past few years, Maine lobstermen have caught white lobsters, calicos, one with a blue claw, and an albino lobster. That's only the tip of the trap, so to speak. Though the chances of catching these lobsters are rare, at least once a year it seems someone manages to snag one that stands out from the rest.
