Boston Donut Shop Named Best in Massachusetts, and They'll Ship

With the recent closing of Donut Love here in New Hampshire, I have been searching for a new favorite donut shop. Yes, there is the Holy Donut in Scarborough, Maine, if I want to make the trip, or Heav'lyn donuts in Brentwood, which is about 10 minutes from my house. But I'm looking for a new favorite.

Let's be honest, you can never have too many favorite donut shops.

Best Donut Shop in Massachusetts

According to lovefood.com, the best donut shop in all of Massachusetts is Blackbird doughnuts. You know it's a serious donut shop because they spell the product the long way. Everyone takes the shortcut these days, with the name "donut." Not Blackbird. They are known for the Bismarck doughnut, a.k.a cream-filled. I don't know about you, but I want to take a ride to Boston right now. Just look at that. Oh. Em. Gee.

This Boston Doughnut Shop Delivers

As it turns out, there are seven locations for Blackbird doughnuts, but you may not have to drive anywhere to get them. They can ship directly to your house, according to their website! Not every item on the menu is available. However, if you're looking to send a box for someone's birthday, it'll run you about $25 bucks, not including shipping and handling. Not bad for a donut (oh, excuse me, DOUGHNUT shop) that was voted the best in the whole darn state.

In my opinion, there's nothing better than a cream-filled donu...doughnut. Most people eat them for a breakfast or on a weekend, when calories don't count as much. I could eat a cream-filled donut anytime, but sometimes for dessert at night after dinner. It's made from the same ingredients as that chocolate cake. Honestly though, I can't eat donuts every day/night/afternoon, and you can't either. Once we pass the age of 18-ish, we gotta start watching that kind of stuff. That doesn't mean that I am not planning a trip to Boston to try one of these.
