Durham to Host Live Music and Entertainment

The 'Music on the Main' summer block party returns to downtown Durham Thursday.

The event, from 6-8 p.m., will have live music, a bounce house, food, games and activities right downtown!

There will be an ice-cream eating contest, craft table, corn hole games, food-and-drink samples and a bike-repair stand.

Businesses taking part include The Candy Bar, Three Chimneys Inn, Amy’s Frame Shop, Durham Bike & Sports and the Main Street Makery, among others.

The event is free, and the rain date is Aug. 10. Main Street in Durham will be closed from Jenkins Court to the Candy Bar during the event and traffic will be routed around the party.
