Does it seem like everyone is sick these days?

It isn't a coincidence.

If it isn't COVID, it's the Norovirus that is currently surging in New Hampshire.

Which is Worse:  COVID or Norovirus?

Given the two, COVID or Norovirus, I'm not sure which I would choose if I had to contract one of them.

That COVID brain fog is the worst, but with Norovirus, your stomach feels awful, and there's nothing worse than that.

According to patch.com, data from the CDC says the numbers have spiked to a high of 91 for the week ending December 5 and that number is probably under what is really out there.

Many people don't seek treatment if they're sick.

The symptoms for Norovirus are awful.  If you are experiencing violent diarrhea and vomiting, you may have it.  Other symptoms may include:

  • Nausea
  • Stomach pain
  • Fever
  • Headache
  • Body Aches

Most interesting, according to the patch.com article, the best way to prevent the Norovirus from spreading is to use soap and water frequently.  Hand sanitizer is not effective in preventing the spread of this virus.

Dehydration Will Make You Feel Worse

If you are experiencing these symptoms, you may get dehydrated, which makes you feel worse.  Symptoms of dehydration are:

  • Decreased urination
  • Dry mouth and throat
  • Feeling dizzy when standing up
  • Crying with few or no tears
  • Unusual sleepiness

If you share a space with someone who is infected, you have to take extra care not to share food or utensils with the infected person.

If you don't want to get sick, you definitely shouldn't make out with someone who is infected.  Sorry to ruin your day.
