There is not a time in my life that I don't remember longing for my next visit to Canobie Lake Park in Windham, New Hampshire.  It is an iconic "must visit" place for New Hampshire residents and tourists alike.

Here's 5 things you need to know.

There is Plenty of Parking at Canobie Lake Park

There is plenty that has changed over the years, but one thing that has remained consistent is that parking is free.

Ticket Prices Can be Pricey, But it's Worth It

A ticket for a one day pass is $59, so for a family of four, you can do the math. It's so worth it!  It will be a family fun day you will never forget.

If you plan on going several times in the Summer, you might want to buy a Season pass.  See the website for more information on that.

The Wooden Rollercoaster is Epic

The Yankee Cannonball is a wooden rollercoaster, so it doubles the excitement.  If you have a fear of heights, you might want to reconsider this one, but if not, you might ride this one over and over.

Food is Not Allowed Inside the Park

Back in the day, you could bring food into the park and eat by the lake.  They had picnic benches there for families, however, now they have plenty of food selections inside the park.

As I think about that time, it was one of the only times in my life when I just wanted to hurry up and eat so we could get to the rides!

Canobie Has Rides for Everyone in the Family

You can literally find a ride for everyone inside of the Park.  From the smallest kids, to the adults, there is a ride for everyone's ride preference.  Whether you are an adrenaline junkie or just want a relaxing ride around the park, they have something for all ages.

When I was a kid, Canobie just had a pool and that's it.  If you are familiar with the Dover Pool, it was like that.  Today, they have an entire section of the property dedicated to water rides.

What do you think of Canobie?  What's your favorite ride?
