I hold in my hand a glorious apple picked from a local orchard this weekend. If you've been dying for a fresh picked apple, it isn't too early to find them if you know where to look!

My go to city for apples is Farmington NH, more specifically, Meaderboro Road. Butternut Farm (195 Meaderboro Road) is a terrific pick your own facility that is great for families.

They have recently added The Jersey Mac apple to the list of fruits that are currently available! Keep in mind that they are closed on Mondays.

If you are willing to venture a little further up this magical apple highway, you'll find the apple that I'm holding in the featured image.

If you travel Northwest on Meaderboro Road for another 4 miles, the road will turn to gravel. Another mile after that be on the lookout for fruit signs on the left side of the road.

A small cart in the driveway is where you'll find this wonderful, one of a kind hybrid apple named 'Hiram's Choice'. A crisp and tart variety that will satisfy any apple enthusiast!

Happy apple hunting everyone!
