The Ship Restaurant Demolition is Starting

The project is expected to begin in the next two weeks.

The Ship restaurant will be the latest landmark restaurant on Rt.1 to be torn down in the past few years. The Hilltop Steak House before that.

There are plans for a new restaurant and coffee shop as well as a bank and lots of retail space..

I'd like to see the ship be re-built somewhere else, but there's no word on whether that is in the plans.
