This Massachusetts Restaurant Named 'Best Chinese' in the State

Got a craving for Chinese hot & sour soup? Fried rice? Sesame chicken? Once you get that itch, you gotta scratch/eat it, right? Read on, my friend. I have an amazing place for you to try.

Is there anything more comforting than Chinese dumplings? Yes, I could name a whole bunch of other dishes, but my point is that when you are craving Chinese food, the best place to go in Massachusetts is Dumpling House in Cambridge, Massachusetts, according to LoveFood.

I admit, when I first heard of Dumpling House, I thought they would be the same sort of dumpling that you would get at any other kind of restaurant. But boy I was so wrong. You see the fluffiness and deliciousness that awaits your mouth just looking at them. Honestly, I am not a dumpling person either, but these bad boys? Amazing.

Dumplings are not easy to make, from what I hear. My sister-in-law (who is not Chinese at all), makes dumplings with her mother every holiday season. They also have to bring in her granddaughter to help. I'm not sure where this tradition started, but I do know the outcome of their efforts are delicious. I have tried to make them, and I fail.

If you're not familiar with Cambridge, Massachusetts, it has a small-town feel to it in spite of its dense population. At one point in my life, I spent a lot of time in Cambridge. It's a city where the neighbors watch out for each other, and you could live there without a car given all of the services pretty close by (oh yeah, there was that time that I had my tires slashed in a rental car...forgot about that).

Anyway! My favorite part of Cambridge is the Kendall Theater in Kendall Square. That's where I saw Good Will Hunting with a bunch of MIT students the year it came out. It was a different time, to be sure. All that was missing in my life at the time, was the dumplings.
