The 'Father of Our Country' would have turned 294 years old today and I figured I'd take this occasion to try to warp your mind with a couple fun facts about Mount Rushmore.

If you told me Benjamin Franklin invented Facebook I'd be more inclined to believe it than this amazing fact. Something in the movie 'National Treasure: Book Of Secrets' is real? I am still suffering dizzy spells trying to come to grips with it.

This next fun fact is one that I've never read much about but is pretty cool. The four presidents of Mt. Rushmore had contiguous lifespans. Washington and Jefferson were contemporaries and Jefferson lived until July 4th, 1826 when 'Honest Abe' was 17.

And as this video clearly states, Teddy Roosevelt was seven years old when he watched Lincoln's funeral procession from the second story of his family's home. It just goes to show that sometimes the truth is even stranger than a Nicholas Cage movie!
