New Hampshire Woman Finds a Huge Snake in Her Bathroom

There are 5 types of snakes here in New Hampshire that are on the endangered list, according to wildlife.nh.gov.

If ever you encounter these reptiles, you should be aware if they are endangered or not.

The Timber Rattlesnake is the most rare and the most dangerous.  They have large fangs and are highly venomous. A bite from this snake could kill you, according to nationalzoo.si.edu.

The good news, however, is that they are rare, so the chances of you running into one is low.  They are so uncommon, in fact, they are now protected by the state of NH.

The Eastern Hognose Snake is also an endangered species.  When threatened, it plays dead.

The Northern Black Racer snake is another endangered species here in the Granite State

Smooth Green Snake makes the list of endangered reptiles in NH.

Ribbon Snakes are one of the 5 most endangered in NH as well.

Many of these snakes are sold and may be part of the reason they are on the endangered list.

If you happen to encounter a Timber Rattlesnake, you should leave it alone.  If I were in that situation, I would back away slowly and hope it doesn't bite, but if it does, call 911.  You're gonna need it.
