If you haven't heard, according to Variety, a Baywatch reboot is in the works, which got me thinking about David Hasselhoff.

David once came to the Fox Run Mall in Newington, New Hampshire, and boy, did I put my foot in my mouth.

He was the lead male character on Baywatch, and it seemed like he had a pretty good gig. But apparently, being surrounded by luscious babes and running with an alarmed look on your face wasn't enough for him, because he decided to dip his perfectly-manicured toes into recording a song for radio.

This was around 1993.

The radio station I was working for at the time set up a live broadcast from the Fox Run Mall in Newington, now known as the Mall at Fox Run.  Back in those days, artists wanted to come perform where the people were, so the malls used to be the place to go.  Not so much anymore.  Anyway, we were excited to pack up our show and get to the Fox Run Mall to meet David himself.

We were broadcasting approximately two hours before his actual arrival, hyping it up and saying things like, "Make sure you get here soon because David Hasselhoff is going to be singing his new song here," yadda, yadda, yadda.

Because I'm a broadcaster, and sometimes, we have to think quickly on our feet, I said something a little sassy like, "Gee, wouldn't it be great to run my fingers through his chest hair."

I was KIDDING, but apparently, the Hoff himself was listening in his Knight Rider-type vehicle on his way to the gig.

When David arrived with his entourage, which was just one guy (presumably his manager), the first words spoken out of his mouth were, "Where's the woman on the radio who wants to run her fingers through my chest hair?"

I sheepishly raised my hand.  He then said, "Well, here you go!", and proceeded to lift up his shirt and invite me to run my fingers through the aforementioned chest hair.  EWWW!

No offense to the Hoff, but he is almost 20 years older than me, and I was 20-something at the time, which means he was in his 40s.  I say again.  EWWW!

If you were there, you know what happened next.  I can't even bear to type it.

Were you there?  Do you remember that? When do you think David will return to New Hampshire again?
