End of Era: This New Hampshire JCPenney Is Closing for Good
Remember when the Fox Run Mall was swamped with shoppers of all ages? Every store was packed.
Malls all across the U.S. have had trouble maintaining the customer traffic of the past over the past few years.
This weekend is the final days of J.C. Penney in Newington, New Hampshire. A store much beloved by people from all over New England who used to shop there.
This location is only 1 of 5 J.C. Penney's in the state.
Here are some comments from Jim Lee's Facebook page. It really expresses how people feel about the store.

I used to buy all my work clothes here. I was in here a couple of weeks ago walking around ……
there’s more dogs in that mall than people… never my wildest dreams would I ever picture people on their hands and knees, cleaning dog poop up off the floors in this place …. how sad is this ??!!

I order from them online now. Such a weird experience to not do mall shopping anymore. We go to the mall to walk our puppy and socialize her.
J.C. Penney in NH Had the Best Selection of Linens
One of the comments on the page was from Claire who said she used to go there for linens, sheets, blankets and curtains. I totally agree. You knew you would get nice sheets if you got them from J.C. Penney.
