After 21 Years, This Beloved Somersworth, New Hampshire Small Family Business Closes for Good
This one hurts. We didn't even mind that they were Yankees fans that much. :(
It was announced on their Facebook page that Fiddlehead Farms Marketplace has closed for good. Their last day of business was February 1, 2026.
The owners said that they wanted to thank their employees and loyal customers that came in almost every single day. They also wanted to thank their vendors that they did business with.
Fiddleheads Used to be Located at Weeks Crossing
I remember when Fiddleheads first opened up at Weeks Crossing in Dover. I was thrilled to know that I could get amazing produce and good prepared food right in downtown Dover. Then, they moved to 451 High Street in Somersworth and all of their customers, me included, followed them.

I’m so sad to hear this! I’ve been going to Fiddleheads since moving to Dover 20 years ago when you were at Week’s Crossing. (How I loved the cheese ladies and their balsamic vinegar!) I love all the interesting items and great produce deals, and that you double produce buys for SNAP recipients. As a native NYer, yous make the best Italian combo this side of the tristate area .I will miss you dearly, and hope you pop up elsewhere.
I’m so sorry to hear this. You were my son’s first job and such an amazing supporter of our community. Truly good people and you’ll be missed dearly.
