Football Food Pick of the Week: Beer Braised Brats with Cheese Sauce

Time to warm up with some delicious brats...and cheese sauce.

It's back to my man Jeff Mauro, the Sandwich King from Food Network, for some tasty inspiration. Cooking brats in beer is about as football as you can get. Bust a platter of these out during the Patriots game and you'll be the star of the show...until Brady lights up the Eagles defense.

Of all the football foods I've shared with you this one has my mouth watering the most as I write this. I made these last year for the Patriots playoff game against the Colts.

Please, as a favor to me, dress the brats up with the cheese, sauerkraut and the jalapenos. It is worth the effort. Sometimes Brats can be a little boring nesting in a river of mustard on a hot dog roll. Kick it up a notch!
