Craigslist shoppers can breathe a sigh of relief as more and more of these police sanctioned internet purchase exchange locations open up.

Gilford's Police Department is the latest in a growing list of towns now offering a safe place to buy and exchange items arranged on the internet. These 'internet purchase exchange locations' are always monitored 24-hours by video surveillance.

There's nothing worse than buying or selling something on Craigslist and not knowing exactly who it is on the other end of an email address.

I've bought and sold many things and always have a small amount of fear in the back of my head when inviting someone over to my house to pick up a couch.

Kudos to the Gilford PD for being proactive and offering a safe place for internet shoppers.
