Friends of Tonya Carpenter, the woman who was hit by a bat during a Red Sox game, have set up a GoFundMe page to help cover medical costs.

The page, titled Help Tonya-The Long Journey Forward, is looking to raise $120,000.

The scary incident took place on Friday night when a piece of a broken bat from Oakland's Brett Lawrie flew into the stands between home plate and the 3rd base dugout and struck Tonya in the head.

The game was delayed several minutes as staff attended to the woman and her injury.
