This Grocery Chain Has the Most Stores in New Hampshire

Everyone has their favorite grocery store in New Hampshire for a bunch of different reasons.  One of them could be because of convenient location.  This grocery store chain has 36 locations in New Hampshire.

If you're talking major grocery store chains in the area, you'd be talking about Market Basket, Hannaford and Shaws.  There are several others in the area like Aldi, Trader Joe's and others, but the number of their locations pale in comparison to these three.

Market Basket Has 33 NH Locations

According to scrapehero.com, Market Basket has 33 locations here in the Granite State.  I wonder if they are all packed on the weekends like the one I got to in Epping?

Shaws Supermarket Has 25 Locations in New Hampshire

This one surprised me, but Shaw's has 25 locations in the 603, according to local.shaws.com.  Two towns, Merrimack and Nashua, have two Shaw's locations.

Hannaford Has the Most Locations in New Hampshire

There are 36 Hannaford locations in New Hampshire, according to stores.hannaford.com.  There are two locations in Bedford, Dover and Rochester.  Manchester has three Hannaford locations.

Because I live close to one of the Hannaford locations, I am there a lot.  They have a great bakery and their seafood department is excellent. I particularly like the staff in the seafood department.  The guy I go to will tell me what the freshest fish is and that's what I take for dinner.

Hannaford is a bit pricier than Market Basket, but sometimes, the convenience is worth it.
