Grocery Store Sushi? This Hannaford Location in New Hampshire Hits the Spot Every Time
Hannaford, Raymond, New Hampshire
We have all been in Hannaford after work, starving of course, and see the case of sushi. It would be so wonderful if you could just grab and go, wouldn't it?
It looks so appealing as well, but is it good? It is. Very good.
Is it the best sushi I ever had? No. That lives at Surf in Portsmouth. If I get to choose my last meal, I want the Umami Veggie Sushi Roll to be on the menu. Holy Mother of Taste Sensation, Batman.
BUT, the sushi at Hannaford, when you're hungry and you have a craving for it, is pretty damn good.
My husband and I get it a lot. The California Combo has three different rolls and it will scratch that craving time and time again until you decide to go to Surf again.
They have a good selection of vegan/veggie sushi rolls too, so if you have one of those in the family, you can make it easier on yourself and buy that instead of cooking a second meal for them. (Not that I've ever had to do that) It's tasty and filling.
How Much is that Sushi in the Window?
The cost of each roll varies depending on what you get on it. The aforementioned California Combo was $10.99 and we both got a few pieces. Perfect for lunch or a light dinner.
To be honest, the price isn't a big consideration for me when it comes to sushi. I mean really, do you want cheap sushi? Think of it this way; If you were to buy all the ingredients, spend all the time making it, etc., your investment is way more than what you pay in the checkout line.
Have you ever tried the Hannaford sushi? What do you think?
