Wanna live on the water in Chatham, Massachusetts?

Got an extra $12.5 million dollars lying around?  Harry Connick Jr.'s vacation house on Cape Cod was up for sale, and it's absolutely stunning.

The house is located on the water at 23 Oyster Pond Lane in Chatham.  According to an article in Realtor.com, Harry's family mostly used the home as a vacation place, but now that his kids are older, he and his wife don't use the property as much as they used to.

The property was last purchased in 2006 for $5.3 million dollars, according to the article.  The asking price is now the highest in all of Chatham at $12.5 million.  I'll do the math for you.  That's an appreciation of $7.2 million dollars.  I'm tellin' ya.  There is no investment better than real estate, especially in New England.

I'm sure Harry made some improvements to the house. Everybody does that when they buy a house.  In the pictures below, you'll see the shower head of my dreams.  Maybe that was one of the improvements.  I know, I know...a house like this and I'm fixated on the shower head.  Hey, I spend a lot of time in the shower sometimes.

You know it's fancy when they use words like "Presented by" Paul Grover.  Brokered by Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Robert Paul Properties.  Call them for more information at 508-420-1414.

Have you been to Chatham, Massachusetts?

It's no wonder that Harry and his wife choose this property when they originally purchased it.  Chatham is beautiful.  My sister-in-law Diane had her wedding there a few years back at the Chatham Bars Inn.  If you've ever been, you might agree with me that it is one of the fanciest places on the Cape.  It's absolutely stunning.
