Each of the 12 years of the Chinese calendar is supposed to be represented by a different animal, and 2020 is the "Year of the Rat." So if you were born in 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, or 2008, you are a rat. Whether you put stock in the Chinese zodiac or not is entirely up to you. If you do believe, don't count on 2020 to be your year to shine, according to Farmers' Almanac. The Farmers' Almanac explains that it is an unlucky year for rats, and they "should be cautious during years that match their zodiac sign," especially when dealing with finances, careers and relationships.

Rats are supposedly intelligent, energetic, trustworthy, hardworking and loyal, as per the Farmers' Almanac. They are also perfectionists, who are easily angered and love to gamble.

Happy Chinese New Year!
