Iconic Hampton Beach, New Hampshire, Restaurant Calling it Quits
Farr's Famous Chicken, Hampton, New Hampshire
Well that just stinks for us, but happy for them.
After 10+ years, the owners of Farr's Famous Chicken in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire are not opening in 2025, or maybe ever.
The owners, Paul and Judy, announced on the restaurant's Facebook page that they will not be back at the beach in 2025. The post went on to say how much they loved their employees over the years and the customers who came in as strangers but left as friends.
From my experience, when you walked into Farr's, you were always greeted with a smile. They really did make you feel part of their family whether you came in as a seasonal guest or year-round resident.
One of the best things on the menu at Farr's was the chicken wings. Oh, my heavenly head, they were good.
I always enjoyed their "Tender Buckets," which I would sometimes share, but only sometimes.
Farr's really was a social place. You could play Keno every day from 11a - 1pm, buy your lottery tickets there, it was a fun place.
The part that I will miss most is the invitation to park in their parking lot whenever I needed to. Where am I gonna go now, Paul & Judy? I know it's not about me, but still. I mean, you're right there on the "back boulevard" of Hampton Beach and right next to the Casino, so, maybe I'll have to shell out $20 bucks.
Whenever someone closes their business to spend more time with the kids and grandkids, you gotta support that no matter how much you will miss their chicken or their primo parking spaces at Hampton Beach.
