The Holidays is the time of year when people open their hearts and give to those who might be hurting or need help.  A Massachusetts non-profit and Smuttynose Brewery in Hampton is bringing a little Christmas Magic to Veterans, active duty service members and their families.

This Massachusetts Non Profit is Expanding to New Hampshire

Since 2010, Operation Service has grown.  What started out in Leominster and Fitchburg, Massachusetts has expanded to Hampton, New Hampshire.

Operation Service was started in 2010 when the Firmani family and another local business donated Christmas trees to local vets and military families with their loved ones who are deployed.  They heard so many stories of military families who are financially struggling and they didn't know where the money would come from for a Christmas Tree.

The group's leader, Joe Firmani, was the same person who brought the Vietnam Wall That Heals to New England and the 9/11 Never Forget Mobile Exhibit, according to their website.

According to a Press Release, here's what Joe had to say about the organization:

We are fundraising all year long. We start the beginning of the year, and we don't stop because we don't want to let anyone down.
