We know that Portsmouth, NH is a really cool city, but is it Hollywood cool?  Apparently so.

Did you know that the New Hampshire Film Festival is a direct pathway for filmmakers to get to the Oscars?  Meaning, the Oscars recognize the NH Film Festival as an Oscar-qualifying event for the following categories, according to WMUR:

• Live Action Shorts
• Animation Shorts
• Documentary Shorts

Never Been to the NH Film Festival?  It's Awesome and Here's Why

You will be able to see over 100 indi films in 4 days in venues all over Portsmouth.

It's mostly about the movies, BUT, Portsmouth itself comes alive with people running from one venue to the next to catch the next film  People go to this festival every year to experience the comedy shows, workshops and the incredible after parties.

The after parties are where you may bump into the directors, producers and rising stars.  Like, for real.  You will feel like you are in Hollywood, but you don't have to get on a plane, Hollywood is coming to you.
