The death of a teenage skier at Pats Peak Satuday is the third fatality on the slopes this season in New Hampshire.

In a statement, Pats Peak General Manager Kris Blomback said the 15-year-old and his family from Boston were skiing on the intermediate Duster ski trail around 6:35 p.m. when he had a skiing accident. The boy was taken down the slope by the ski patrol and transported to Concord Hospital by the Henniker Rescue Squad, where he died.

"Our sympathies go out to his family during this difficult time, and the staff of Pat's Peak is greatly saddened by the incident tonight," Blomback said.

Blomback did not disclose details about the accident and said the investigation is ongoing.

Excel Academy Charter Schools identified the teen as Christopher DiPrima of Boston.

"Christopher was a kind and caring person who brought joy to everyone he met. He will be truly missed," the school wrote on its Facebook page.

WMUR was first to report on the skier's death.
