If you need extra juice to power your Christmas lights, there are probably better options than disconnecting the streetlight in front of your house and tapping into that power supply.

We travel to Queensland, Australia for this tale of Christmas spirit that could have turned the perpetrator into another kind of spirit. This man is accused of disconnecting the street light in front of his house so that more power would go to his display.

According to the local power company, about 240 volts run through the street lights and the fellow could have been seriously injured or killed if he had made the wrong move.

So,the lesson is, if you need more energy for your outdoor Christmas display, buy a generator, or perhaps be sneaky and plug into your neighbors outside outlets. Just don't start tapping into the cities infrastructure.
