According to a report from Seacoast Online, HB 481 is one step closer to becoming law by a vote from the Criminal Justice and Safety Committee of 10 - 9.  If passed the bill would legalize use of pot for recreational use. The committee is chaired by Rep. Renny Cushing of Hampton.

Every other state around NH, Maine, Massachusetts and Vermont, have legalized pot and it's just a matter of time, in my opinion, before NH is next.

Don't get me wrong, just because I think that recreational pot should be legal doesn't mean I smoke it myself.  I don't and as a matter of fact, I have a LOT of issues surrounding the drug.  People very close to me are choosing to smoke pot as part of their lifestyle and it's hurting them a great deal.  It's wiping away all the drive and ambition that they may have and replaced it with complacency and apathy. I don't like it, but I can't wrap my head around a world where alcohol is legal and pot is not.  It just doesn't make any sense to me.  I don't need to go through all the bad things that alcohol does, do I?  Why is pot any different?  Some people use it to relax, others abuse it - just like booze.

In other personal observations about pot, (I grew up with Baby Boomers) if you smoke the weed for decades, it changes your personality.  I don't have any scientific studies other than what I've observed in my life.  Your personality changes with long term use of the mary-jane.  Again, just. like. booze.
