Police in Rochester are looking for a man who, according to police, stole a cash box from a group of Girl Scouts selling cookies.

The Girl Scouts were selling cookies at the Walgreens on South Main Street Saturday evening, when police say a man grabbed their cash box and took off in a car with two others inside.

'The thief is described as a black man standing 5 feet 8 inches tall. He was wearing a black winter hat and blue New England Patriots jacket. The getaway car is described as a green Toyota Camry with New Jersey license plates.

The Camry was located a short time later in a driveway near the intersection of Winter Street and Adams Avenue, but no one was inside and the cash was gone. It is unclear how much money was taken."

I believe there is a special place in hell for anyone who rips off Girl Scouts and their cookie fundraising efforts. Here's hoping they catch the jerks.

Anyone with information about the case should call Rochester Police at 603-335-6500.
