John Cena, who was born and raised in West Newbury, is pledging to donate $1 million dollars to help veterans.

John said that he would match, dollar for dollar, the contributions to FitOps, a non-profit to help vets find new purpose in civilian life through fitness.  Veterans attend a "military like" boot camp for three weeks that teaches them to become certified personal trainers.  Through this organization, he hopes to reduce veteran suicide rates.

John has been all over TV lately.  Here he is on the Kelly Clarkson show with singer, Sho Madjozi who wrote a catchy hit song using John Cena references.  I have watched this video three times and I think I'm a little obsessed with this girl and her absolute joy for John and life in general.  Check this out:

If you would like to know more about FitOps, just click here and it will bring you to the website.  The million dollars has been reached, but so many vets need our help, it's worth another million.
