Manchester Has ‘World’s Largest Taco Tour’ on Cinco de Mayo

Area restaurants showcase their take on the taco to thousands of hungry patrons. 

It's the sixth annual Hippo de Mayo Taco Challenge and it takes place on Cinco de Mayo from 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. right in downtown Manchester. There are currently 47 restaurants involved all with a different taco to eat.

Participating restaurants sell their tacos for $2 and vie for Peoples Choice and Judges Choice awards.

Winning restaurants get $1,000 donated to a charity of their choice on behalf of Hippo and the event sponsors.

Last year The Gyro Spot won the People's Choce Award and had $1,000 donated to to the Alzheimer's Association. USA Chicken and Biscuit won the Judges Choice Award and selected Wounded Warrior as their prize recipient.
