The six F-16 fighter jets are from Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina and they were flying quite low, getting the attention of many in the wee small hours of the morning. 3am to be exact.

According to the New Hampshire National Guard, the refueling tanker for the jets experienced mechanical problems, so the jets couldn't re-fuel over the ocean. Thus they were sent to Pease Air National Guard Base.

Don Briand made mention of this to me this morning, saying he was awoken earlier than normal because of the parade of these jets flying over his house.

The military jets will stay in New Hampshire until the end of the week and then will continue their mission, flying to Italy.
