"It’s no secret that New Hampshire continues to set the gold standard with the highest quality of life for women, children, and families," New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu said in a press release. "With low poverty and high education rates, the work done by our team, business community, and nonprofits has set the model for health, education, and opportunity!”

New Hampshire will invest $11 million dollars in family support services over the current fiscal year, while $2 million dollars is also invested in youth vaping prevention.

Massachusetts is coming in at number 2 for women and children, with overall strength in high school completion and low child poverty, according to americashealthrankings.org.

Massachusetts, however, does have some weaknesses with high housing costs and a significant pay gap.

Both New Hampshire and Massachusetts, although there are some weaknesses, is a great place to raise children.

I have raised my children here.  When it came to my health, as a female, I always found quick access to what I needed.

When I was pregnant (and broke), I found pre-natal care.  Mammograms and other tests were always available to me.

Massachusetts has the best hospitals in the world, so it makes sense that they are high up on the list.
