Why This New Hampshire Beach Is One of the Most Underrated in New England
I'll be honest. I am hesitant to tell you about the most underrated beach in New England because obviously, not everyone knows about it and if I tell you, you might go there too.
They're Talking About Hampton Beach, NH
When people talk about the beach in New Hampshire, they are talking about Hampton Beach. That's the one that's the busiest, with the most restaurants, clubs and action. If you want a place to people watch, Hampton Beach and the people walking on the Boulevard never disappoint.
However, if you are looking for a calmer scene not far from all the action, you don't have to go very far. Seabrook Beach, NH is the most beautiful, underrated beach in all of New England.
You Will Love Seabrook Beach, NH
There is a wealth of information at seabrooknh.info about Seabrook Beach.
For example, the beach is closed from 1:00am until sunrise for all public use. Here are some others:
👉 Fireworks are NOT permissible for display in the Seabrook Beach Village District on private or public property. (Purchasing of Fireworks is legal)
👉 Dogs are ONLY allowed on the beach after 6pm and before 8am from Memorial Day to Labor Day. All dogs MUST be on a leash and under control of their pet owner. 👉 All animal waste MUST be cleaned up immediately.
👉There are NO open containers of alcoholic beverages allowed on any public way to include the beach.
👉There are NO glass containers allowed on the beach.
The rules are similar to Hampton Beach, but there are things that are not like Hampton Beach:
- It's quieter, even on a hot summer day.
- Seabrook has restaurants and shops too, but in some parts of the beach, they are not as easily accessible.
- Parking seems to be easier too. I'm not sure if I just get lucky or what, but I've always been able to find good parking at Seabrook Beach.
