New Hampshire Is One Of The Worst States For IRS Audits

TaxAudit.com released the results from their IRS Audit Report, which names the states with the highest likelihood of a tax audit and New Hampshire is in the top 10.

They examined 1.5 million U.S. tax returns from the 2014 tax year. Yahoo Finance claims these rankings are based on the percentage of 2014 TaxAudit.com Audit Defense users that were audited in 2015.

Here are the Top 10 States with the highest chance of an IRS audit:

1. Vermont
2. California
3. Nevada
4. Massachusetts
5. Delaware
6. Colorado
7. New York
8. New Jersey
9. Florida
10. New Hampshire

I have never been audited, it scares the heck out of me, so I just give all of my money to the government and hope for the best.
