
New Hampshire and Maine Goodwill Stores Will Not Accept These 8 Large Items
There's nothing like a trip to Goodwill. My stepson calls it, "Good Will Hunting." Clever, right?
The inventory is constantly changing and you can find amazing deals on stuff that you need and sometimes just want.
Donating to Goodwill also feels really good. Your stuff still has some life to it and you'd rather not just throw it away. I get it.
You should be aware that Maine and New Hampshire Goodwill doesn't take everything. Sometimes, there are things that are too big for the staff to handle and they can not accept them.

Bunk Beds
Large items that are difficult to manage for the staff or by the consumer are banned for donation.

Large Exercise Equipment
These products are usually too large for the stores to handle and they are banned.

Large fish tanks
Large fish tanks could be too much for the employees to deal with and for the customers to transport.

Pianos and Organs
These instruments are too big for Goodwill to handle and not allowed for donation.

Swing Sets
A swing set is too big and would more than likely be a liability for Goodwill. Not allowed for donation.

Futons
Futons may fall under the "sanitary" category or it could be a liability issue. Or, they might be too large for the staff to handle. They are a NO for donation.

Hospital Beds
Goodwill will not accept hospital beds. It could be because of the size. If the staff can't manage it for themselves or their customers, it doesn't get donated.

Large Appliances
This is a size issue and it could also fall under the liability issue.
