Portsmouth, New Hampshire

I was a big fan of the Book & Bar in Portsmouth, but, the new Mexican restaurant that is going to occupy that space sounds amazing!

Howling Wolf Taqueria is headed to Downtown Portsmouth.  It has one location in Salem, New Hampshire.  Portsmouth will be their second.

According to a post on the (un)Official City of Portsmouth Facebook page, Howling Wolf is beautiful on the inside and will be ready to open doors next week.

The menu from their website looks like traditional Mexican fare like tacos, burritos, quesadillas, salads, etc., but the drink menu looks even better.

Howling Wolf has a collection of signature margaritas like, Spicy Margarita made with Ghost Pepper flavored Tequila, the Skinny Margarita and the Corona Rita which is their house margarita with a Corona served with it.

All the drinks you would expect are on the menu, but have you ever heard of a Wolf Blood Infusion?  Try it if you dare!  The cocktail menu is off the hook.

The food from their Salem, New Hampshire location looks delish.  Hoping for the same for Portsmouth.

From their website, they describe the place as being famous for their bar.  They have a wide selection of tequila, mezcal, margaritas and palomas.

A paloma, by the way, is good quality tequila, grapefruit juice and club soda, lime juice, agave nectar and a salt rim, according to loveandlemons.com.

The Grand Opening is set for Monday, October 28, 2024, with the ribbon cutting at 4pm, according to portsmouthchamber.org.

Portsmouth is still growing by leaps and bounds!  Looking forward to trying this place!
