You may recall the blog I did about the kids from the Lincoln Akerman School in Hampton Falls who have been trying to get the Red Tailed Hawk named as NH's State Raptor.  Yesterday, the House voted to push the bill to the Senate.

I emailed Jim when they got their first victory a few weeks ago with the favorable, unanimous committee vote and here's what he said about his students:

This group of students has not only come to understand the legislative process, they've also learned to persevere, speak with conviction, and remain united in a cause for which they feel purpose and passion.

WOW!  I am thrilled for the kids that they were lucky enough to have Jim Cutting as a Teacher.  Teachers are not paid like pro athletes or celebrities, but they should be.  Teachers are with our children, sometimes more than we are as parents, so they should be compensated as such, but that's a blog for another day.

ONE MORE STEP!  GO, MR. CUTTING AND THE KIDS OF LINCOLN AKERMAN SCHOOL!!
