Last year, a full-scale replica of the Transformers' Optimus Prime (in truck form) came to the inaugural Great Falls Comic Expo. It was such a success that the expo is expanding to two days and featuring more life-sized Transformers.

"Optimus is Here" will be at Norway Savings Bank Arena on Saturday, May 4, and Sunday, May 5. You also might see Optimus in the area on Friday, as he's doing a little tour before attending the Comic Expo.

Optimus is a fan-made replica built with permission from Hasbro, according to the Optimus is Here Facebook page.

"This project was led by an ordinary dad who simply wanted to inspire his young son that all dreams are possible," according to the Facebook page. "Our story combined with the incredible work we’ve done has made this replica a symbol of hope that generations of all ages look up to!"

This year, in addition to Optimus, Bumblebee and Barricade will be there for the first time, and, apparently, Barricade even speaks. Photo ops inside the vehicles will be available to help raise money for charity.

The event is for all ages. Kids 5 and younger get in free with a paid adult ticket. If you want to dress up as your favorite character, Cosplay is welcome.
