Tucker's restaurant in Dover is closed today so the staff can mourn the death of one of their own, Ashley Shunk, according to a report in the Union Leader.

How tragic for everyone involved.  According to the report, Shunk was a passenger in a car that was travelling Eastbound on 101 in Candia on early Tuesday morning.  Police said that speed was a factor.

The co-owner of Tucker's, Erica Cole-Tucker said that Ashley was a very dedicated worker who really cared about her customers.

She cared so much about her customers — she had so many people that loved seeing her every day and it’s definitely going to be hard to not have her there.... She would come into work and just be so dedicated. She would work hard from the minute she got there until the end of the day. She would never stop working, or seeing how she could help her team. She just cared so much about everyone she met and everything that she did.

The accident is still under investigation and anyone with any knowledge of it is asked to contact State Trooper Brian Ross at 603-223-8652.
