Paddy O’Paws Brunch & Auction To Benefit The Conway Area Humane Society Medical Fund
The annual Paddy O’Paws brunch and auction for the Conway Area Humane Society is happening on Sunday, March 15th, 2020 at the Red Jacket Mountain View Resort. The fundraiser will raise much-needed money to pay for the non-profit organization's emergency medical fund for animals. Tim Westwig, Executive Director of the Conway Area Humane Society, says, “We provide a lot of medical treatment to the animals that we shelter. The cost of this treatment is often unpredictable because we encounter cases that are urgent emergencies. It could be a stray animal that is brought to us by animal control that has significant medical issues, or sometimes we are brought many animals at the same time from a single seizure by animal control. Often, we must start at ground zero because we have no past medical records concerning the animals that are brought to us. This means doing extra examinations and tests and providing basic vaccinations. As a small non-profit, these expenses can be difficult to cover, but we are unequivocal in our support for our community’s animals.”
St. Patrick’s Day will be celebrated with great food, such as omelets from a chef-manned station, eggs Benedict, Belgian waffles, pancakes and pastries. Bloody Marys, mimosas, cocktails, wine and beer are available for purchase.
