A man was injured after being shot multiple times at a residence in Dover Sunday afternoon, according to police officials.

Police and first responders were called to the house on New Rochester Road around 3:40 p.m. They transported the 35-year-old man to Portsmouth Regional Hospital and then to a Boston area hospital for treatment.

The circumstances of the shooting and the identity of the victim were not disclosed by police officials.

All of those involved in the incident have been identified and at this time there is no threat to the public, according to police officials.

There was no new information to release to the public as of 9 a.m. on Monday.
